Technology

  • What is the principle of adsorption?

Vacuum adsorption is achieved when the air between the target surface and the film is removed.
The film adheres with great holding force onto various smooth surfaces, such as glass, metal, and plastic.

  • How is the adsorption performance expressed?

We express the adsorption performance in terms of 180-degree peeling force (stress when peeling the film off at a 180-degree angle).

  • Can you explain heat and chemical resistance?

Resistance varies depending on the customer's environment, method, and chemical type.
Please contact our sales representatives for detailed technical information.

  • Is FIXFILM manufactured in a clean room?

All FIXFILM products are manufactured in a clean room.

Products

  • Can you explain the anti-static properties?

The anti-static treatment suppresses the generation of static electricity when the separator is peeled off.
This treatment reduces the risk of harmful effects on electronic products and the adhesion of dust.

  • What is the difference between HG2-50 and HG2-50EX?

HG2-50EX is an improved version of HG2-50 while maintaining the same performance.
Please contact our sales representatives for detailed technical information.

  • What is the difference in adsorption layers?

Currently, two types are available with different peeling strengths (light peeling and medium peeling) .
Please contact our sales representatives for detailed technical information.

  • How much does each product cost?

Please contact our sales representatives for prices.

Product usage

  • Where is FIXFILM commonly used?

The single-sided adsorption type is mainly used to protect the surface of LCDs and touch panels during the manufacturing process, to protect the product surface during shipment, to transport electronic components and semi-finished products, and to fix them during the processing process.

  • What kinds of target surfaces can FIXFILM be affixed to?

FIXFILM provides optimum adsorption performance when the target surface (glass, metal, plastic, etc.) is smooth and flat.
Depending on the condition of the target surface (roughness, curvature, etc.), the product may not perform as designed.
Always test the application of the product before using it.
Clean the surface before affixing the FIXFILM.

  • Does the adsorption performance vary depending on the target surface?

The adsorption performance varies depending on the material and treatment of the target surface.
Please contact our sales representative for specific details.

  • What types of product format are available?

The product is available in roll format.
Please contact our sales representative for available sizes.

  • Can FIXFILM be punch cut?

FIXFILM has a separator to enable various types of punching, such as half-cutting and punching.
Please contact our sales representatives for details.

  • Are there any precautions for using FIXFILM?

If the film is bent, it may not recover its shape and the original adsorption force may be lost.
Be careful when using the product under the following conditions, as the performance of the adsorption layer may be affected and the adsorption power may decrease, or a part of the adsorption layer may remain on the surface to which it was affixed.
    * Do not apply the product onto glass or other surfaces that have been specially treated (including those to which various films have been attached).
    * Do not use the product in the same place for a long time.
    * Especially, do not affix the product to a place where it will be exposed to high temperature, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
    * Do not use water to affix the FIXFILM.
    * Do not affix the FIXFILM onto a target surface that has residual solvent or other residues.
Do not store the product in high temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
The performance of this product may be affected.
